One person owns your student’s prep from the diagnostic to test day. No group class, no rotating roster, no re-explaining which topics they struggle with to someone new each session. Your tutor knows their score history, their gaps, and their timeline inside and out.
Is this prep for the digital SAT?
Yes. The SAT is now a digital, section-adaptive test taken in College Board’s Bluebook app: two sections — Reading and Writing, then Math — with two modules each, where the difficulty of the second module adapts to how your student did on the first. Every practice test we run uses that format, including the built-in Desmos calculator, so nothing on test day is a surprise.
Who are the tutors?
Every PrepStart tutor has taken the digital SAT within the past 18 months and scored 1550 or higher. Because they sat the same format recently, they teach the test-taking skills that work on the real thing — pacing, the adaptive modules, Desmos — from a test taker’s perspective, not just the content.

How does the tutor match work?
After the free trial session and the diagnostic, we match your student with a tutor based on where their points are going and what they’re aiming for — so the person prepping them actually understands the kind of test taker they are, not just the material.
How many points will my student improve?
We won’t put a number on it before we’ve seen a diagnostic — anyone who does is guessing. What we can tell you is what drives it: how far they are from their target, how much time is left before the test date, and how consistently they do the work between sessions. After the diagnostic, your tutor will give you a realistic read on all three — and if your student doesn’t hit their target score, you get your money back.
When should we start?
Sooner is easier. Most students want a real score in hand before applications open August 1, which means testing in the spring or summer of junior year and leaving room for a retake. Starting two to three months ahead of a test date gives the plan enough runway to actually move a score.
How do sessions work?
Online and one-on-one. Your student meets their tutor over video and works in shared documents, so the study plan, error log, and practice-test reviews live in one place. You book sessions through Calendly and set the pace around your timeline.
Do you still do college counseling?
Yes — full 1-on-1 admissions counseling is still a PrepStart program, with the same dedicated-counselor model: school list, essays, activities, and deadlines, start to submit. See the counseling program →
